Our UPA Members love challenging themselves and their beloved poodles. There is a wonderful bond and teamwork that develops whether competing in performance sports, conformation, or working as a team in hunting/retrieving, service, therapy and more. This page showcases our member and bred-by accomplishments in UKC performance sports, as well as other working and sports accomplishments in other organizations. Note that Total Dog Awards have their own page. At the top of this page will be the Parade of Performance Champions in all sports (UKC only) and further down will be broken down into various sport and working categories and we will celebrate any significant accomplishments you want to share (qualifying trials/tests, high in trials, placements, or new title in that sport). We will be adding current member accomplishments as they are submitted. If you are a current UPA member and would like to have your accomplishments added to this page, email upawebeditor@gmail.com. You may include a few pictures for a performance championship title with registered name, brief summary of your championship journey, and breeder/owner. For specific accomplishments in each sport, provide only one photo, keep the caption very short and specific (brief sentence) and add breeder/owner info. Example: Registered name with any titles, Fluffy earned 2 high-in-trials with perfect scores at March 2023 Apple Blosson Club show in Wanyne, IN. Bred by/owned by. These are more like very brief social media posts after a nice show day or weekend. You may submit several accomplishments per dog, so maybe a pic with you and your dog doing the sport would be great sometimes and other times you may want a win pic with ribbons.

Hobbes came to me as a 4-month-old from breeder and co-owner Wendy Coffey in February 2020, just as the pandemic was getting started. We did a lot of backyard and online training, and he earned his first title, CDSP Starter Novice, on his 9-month birthday. His first UKC title, Rally Level 1, came about a week before his first birthday, with the bonus of earning rally High in Trial in his titling run. He ended the year 2020 on the UKC All-Star list at #12. Since that great start, he has earned 43 performance titles including UKC’s Utility Dog title at the age of about 3½ years old. He also earned all the lower regular and optional UKC titles leading up to UUD, including Pre-Novice, Beginner Novice, Advanced Novice, Open, and Advanced Open. He finished his Show Grand Champion title at the Eastern Classic on Dec. 11, 2022, handled by his co-owner/breeder Wendy for the last two wins, since I was busy judging rally at the Classic that weekend.
My goals are to finish United Obedience Champion (UOCH) and we’ve made a pretty good start, already collecting some QQs in Open and Utility and points from both classes. It’s a very challenging path, but we’re enjoying it. I’d also like to finish off the last two top UKC Rally titles (UROG and RMG), as we are able to locate trials within my driving range. Neely earned 84 performance titles, mostly obedience and rally in several venues. Earned numerous UKC All Star rankings from 2015 through 2020. Earned 27 career Rally High in Trial and Rally High Combined (a discretionary award), and one UKC High Combined (Obedience, Open and Utility) in 2020. His earning a UKC Utility title is what enabled me to apply to become a UKC obedience judge. I was already a UKC rally judge, earning the right to apply for that with my rescued rat terrier Devlin. Hobbes earned his first UUDX leg and High Combined while competing at Obedience Training Class of Harrisburg (Mechanicsburg, PA) on April 22, 2023. United Utility Dog Excellent is a title that requires 10 qualifying scores in both Open and Utility, each pair of scores in the same trial.
